Young people at risk: Challenges and policy options for the UK
Challenges and policy options for the UK
The UK, despite a marked labour market improvement in recent years, still faces a wide range of challenges in tackling disadvantage and social exclusion among young people. The risk of child poverty and material deprivation has risen in recent years and the UK fares significantly worse on such measures compared to similar EU countries.
This new policy brief by Daniel Sage compiles
the most relevant UK findings from the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s Social Inclusion Monitor.
The policy brief focuses specifically on the challenges faced by
young people in the UK and on the policy options available at UK and EU
level to address them.
