Roger Liddle to speak at ETUI on the social reality of Europe

Policy Network's co-chair Roger Liddle will be speaking this March on the social reality of Europe after the crisis at an upcoming event for the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI). He will be speaking about the report ‘The Social Reality of Europe After the Crisis’ by the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) and Policy Network.

The report paves way for further discussions on Europe’s recent austerity drive and especially for credibility of social democratic governments accepting light austerity measures. It also brings clear proof of an acute division in Europe (North vs. South) and that a deeper analysis of the so called Troika austerity programs is called for at the risk of rising populist parties and an increasing gap between the EU and its citizens.
