New research programme with SPERI and FEPS
Policy Network today launches, in conjunction with Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI) and Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS), a new two year research programme entitled ‘Diverging Capitalisms? Britain, the City of London and Europe’.
The programme is jointly led by Colin Hay (Co-Director of SPERI), Elva Bova (FEPS) and Renaud Thillaye (Deputy Director of Policy Network). The aim of the programme is to consider the changing nature of the British economy, its place within the European economic space and the consequences of a possible ‘Brexit’. It will investigate in particular the role of the City of London, the structural imbalances characterising the British economy and Britain’s participation in economic governance within the European Union.
A variety of policy reports, seminars and papers will be produced over the programme's course, and workshops will be held in London and Brussels.
