    Following a previous successful seminar last October, where 25 international and UK experts analysed and discussed the changing nature and scope of immigration into Western societies, the second Policy Network/ Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation seminar was held on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd February 2007.

    As part of our Immigration and Integration research project, Policy Network hosted a seminar in November addressing the unequal economic integration of immigrant and minority communities in the UK, with a view to establishing wider cross-national comparisons and a clearer picture of the related issues and challenges for cross-European government integration policies.

  • Making EU Enlargement Work: the accession of Romania and Bulgaria

    Dates: 24 January 2007
    Venue: Central London
    This conference, co-hosted by Policy Network and the Fabian Society, will assess the opportunities and challenges of EU enlargement. The event will address whether and how the 2007 enlargement can benefit both the new and existing member states, and how this will impact on the broader strategic and political challenges of making future EU enlargement possible and effective.
