Labour Party Conference | The Eurozone crisis and the choice for Britain
The Eurozone crisis remains the decisive issue of the day. But the pro-European forces of Labour and the wider left have been on the defensive for too long.

Despite the current sovereign debt crisis in the eurozone the case for the deeper British integration into Europe remains strong. To revitalise social democracy we need more Europe, not less.

Policy Network and the City of London Corporation will co-host a high-level seminar discussing Britain's relations with the EU. The seminar will offer a unique opportunity to engage with some of the most controversial questions surrounding Britain's future within Europe.

Confirmed speakers:
Arlene McCarthy, MEP and vice-chair, economic and monetary affairs committee, Brussels
Emma Reynolds, MP and shadow Europe minister
Peter Hain, MP for Neath, West Glamorgan
Mark Boleat, policy chairman, City of London Corporation
Roger Liddle, chair of Policy Network and a Labour spokesman on Europe in the House of Lords

In partnership with the City of London Corporation
