After the veto: what future for Britain in Europe?

Policy Network and Compass are co-hosting an event titled 'After the veto: what future for Britain in Europe?'

The discussion will focus on Britain's relations with the EU in the wake of David Cameron's decision to refuse a deal at the recent EU summit in Brussels.

It aims to further develop the argument put forward in today's letter to the Guardian, signed by senior figures at both Compass and Policy Network, that recognises isolation and austerity as a toxic political mix, but one that may present opportunities that should be seized by the centre-left.

The event takes place on Tuesday 17 January from 6pm - 7.30 pm in the House of Commons. Further details to follow.
