Rebuilding trust in immigration policy

Policy Network will hold the final event in its project on immigration and political trust, which has been kindly supported by the Barrow Cadbury Trust.

Speaker:

Sarah Spencer CBE, deputy director, Centre on Migration, Policy and Society; former deputy chair, Commission for Racial Equality

Respondents:

Sunder Katwala, director, British Future
Lauren McLaren, associate professor of politics, University of Nottingham

The event will review the project’s work on three aspects of public concern about immigration policy: confidence in the admissions system, concern about the economic impacts of immigration, and anxieties over identity and community. The event will discuss the critical issues in rebuilding public confidence in immigration policy and debate priorities for restoring trust.
