A new progressive recovery plan for the European Union

  • Date(s)
    14 May 2009
  • Location

Discussing the need for a stronger and more progressive European plan to tackle the financial and economic crisis, Policy Network in partnership with the Party of European Socialists and the Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) will host a roundtable meeting on economic recovery in Europe. Bringing together senior figures from the European progressive movement, the event will serve as a vital opportunity to discuss and debate the course of action needed in order for Labour and other European centre-left parties to ensure their voice is heard at the European elections and beyond.

A proposed progressive economic recovery plan, which can be found here attached, will be presented by Maria João Rodrigues, special adviser on the Lisbon Agenda to the European Commission, Ernst Stetter, director of the Foundation for European Progressive Studies, and Gary Titlely MEP, at alunchtime seminar taking place between 11am and 1pm on Thursday 14th May at the Policy Network offices.
