With the relative decline of American power and the rise of other regional global players in Asia and the far east, what role should Europe play in the emerging new multi-polar world? How can Europe adequately address the global strategic challenges of the 21st century on issues such as climate change, energy security, labour migration and international terrorism? What areas of global strategic interest would a more cohesive European foreign policy be of most benefit?

This Labour party conference fringe event was held by Policy Network in partnership with the Centre for European Reform.
