Climate change: global strategy and domestic policies

  • Date(s)
    13 March 2008

As part of its preparations for the progressive governance conference 2008, Policy Network has held a series of preparatory seminars to develop the different aspects of the conference’s main theme, achieving an inclusive globalisation: promoting prosperity for all.

Climate change: global strategy and domestic policies was the subject of the fourth preparatory seminar, which took place on 13 March 2008. Saleemul Huq, head of the Climate Change Group in the International Institute for Environment and Development in London joined Michael Redclift, professor of international environmental policy at King’s College London and Robert Swart of Alterra, Wageningen University and Research Centre to discuss the issue with a number of leading international experts and policymakers in the field.

Seminars have also been held on poverty and development, reform of the global Institutions, and trade and economic integration : engaging with global and domestic concerns. These will contribute towards the development of a series of policy papers which will be the subject of further debate and discussion at the progressive governance conference. The papers and other material arising from the conference will be made available on the Policy Network website.

Places at the preparatory seminars are limited. For more information please contact Isra Jawad at ijawad@policy-network.net.
