The chief secretary to the Treasury, Andy Burnham, headed the line up of speakers at an event entitled Reforming Public Services From The Bottom Up: The New Direction For Public Service Reform? on Monday 24 September at the Labour party conference in Bournemouth.

Geoff Mulgan, the Director of the Young Foundation; Hilary Cottam, Founding Partner of Participle; and Lord Geoffrey Filkin, Chair of the Public Service Reform Group joined him in the debate, which reflected on some of the key issues raised in the recent book, Public Matters. The event was held under the auspices of the Public Service Reform Group, for which Policy Network provides administrative support.
